Mission Statement

With an emphasis on academic, athletic, and personal development, the Athletic Department will provide the support to promote the mission of Maitland Middle School and strive to build not only champions on the court, field, or track, but more importantly Champions in Life.

Offered Sports
  • Soccer – 1st nine weeks
  • Volleyball – 2nd nine weeks
  • Basketball – 3rd nine weeks
  • Track and Field – 4th nine weeks
Schedule & Practices

Athletic events (games) will be held after school on Mondays and Wednesdays, with occasional games on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Team practices will take place daily after school on non game days. Coaches will provide a complete practice schedule at the team meeting.

Regular Season & Playoffs

Teams will play 5 regular season games against other schools in the North Cluster (ACE, Audubon Park, College Park, Glenridge, and Howard), and 2 non-conference exhibition games.

At the end of each regular season, a 32-team playoff tournament will be held. The top four schools from each of the eight clusters will advance to compete for the Orange County Championship trophy. Exhibition game results do not determine making the playoffs.

Track and Field

Track teams will participate in:

  • Four exhibition meets
  • A Cluster Championship Meet
  • A County Championship Meet
